one intesting thing that happened in our lit group today is that the connection was made that in the book there is always a "mob" in every school. there is always a group that can mess around and cause distruction and do bad things b/c they are the "mob"

When I read the Chocolate War, I was scared of the brutality of the mob. I also had some major props for the main character for standing against them. It takes someone with true character to go against the flow when the consequences are so physical
